L’Equipe: Inter Eye Monaco Star Akliouche – Club Demand €70M

Home

Inter Milan are reportedly targeting Maghnes Akliouche, the AS Monaco attacking midfielder, in a potential summer move, according to L’Equipe.

The Frenchman of Algerian descent is not short on suitors, but Inter have stepped up their interest—particularly after the 22-year-old scored against them in last Friday’s pre-season friendly.

Monaco, however, are standing firm, valuing Akliouche at €70 million and pointing to his contract, which runs until June 2028.

Earlier this week, Sky Sport Germany reported that Bayer Leverkusen have also joined the race, opening talks with the player’s representatives. The Bundesliga champions are hopeful of completing a deal for around €50 million, though Monaco’s stance suggests negotiations could be challenging.

Speaking to reporters, Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro said:

“Akliouche’s future? We can’t control what happens outside. It’s natural for him to be on the radar of top clubs, but we have our conditions.”

The in-demand playmaker has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. While he has represented France at various youth levels, Akliouche has yet to feature for either the French senior side or the Algerian national team.
